Board of Directors
Anna Bramucci
My name is Anna Bramucci, and I am a native Portland Oregonian.
Service work is a very important part of who I am and who I want to become, and in order
to better understand the people I work with I have continually volunteered in various
communities.
While working with children at Providence Child's Center and volunteering at Camp Footprints in California
I have learned that the small activities at camp, like laughing and singing, are the most important
parts about understanding all kinds of children and adults.
I hope that through this orginization other young adults can learn how to use their gifts in order to
bring out the best in the children and adults that they meet while at camp, at their schools, and throughout their lives.
Steve Bramucci
Hi, I’m Steve and I have lived in Oregon and California and am currently traveling around Africa, Asia,
and Europe. I am excited about the plans that this organization has in Oregon and other parts
of the world. Besides being a traveler I am also a writer, teacher and above all a believer
that life is to be lived, and that love is real.
I was a staff member at Camp Footprints in California for 4 years before joining the World
Children's Project and those experiences have taught me that it is through service that we all
become a more real part of humanity. The most important lesson I have learned is that laughter
is the key to success. So I laugh a lot.
Brian Crites
Brian Crites is a school teacher who recently joined up with the World Children's Project in an effort to bring service opportunities to other countries. He will be working in collaboration with the project to start La Paz Community School in Costa Rica.
Sara McGowan
Sara is a primary school teacher who has been teaching in Central America for the last four years. Since then she has started working, with Brian, on our newest project to start the La Paz Community School in Costa Rica.
Mike Sweeney
My name is Mike Sweeney
I am from Corvallis, Oregon. I am really passionate about watching people come together in love, and it
is inspiring to watch people give up what they thought they needed in order to
help satisfy the true needs of sombody
they didn't even know before arriving at camp.
I trust that this project will effect not only children,
but adults alike.
In order to gain anything, we must be willing to give up everything as well,
and I believe that sacrificing your wants for a child's needs is the best way to learn more
about yourself. When people learn about themselves, they are likely to find
that it is not material that brings joy, but love.
Nick Temple
Hi, my name is Nick Temple; I live in Portland, OR.
When I first heard about WCP, I knew right away that I'd not only have
an amazing time working with children in need, but that I'd also have the
privilege to work with some incredible people. I've done some volunteer
work here and there, but I don't think I really had an idea of how
important this kind of service can be to children and their family
until I participated in a similar organization and got a serious look
at how much of a positive impact someone can have on another. In the past
few years I've had this want to be involved in something that is bigger
than me, something for me to dedicate myself that will make the world a
better place, and am happy to say I found it in the World Children’s Project.
